My captain (male, 6 feet) and I (female, 5'4 1/2")) are tracking our combined team weight (although I was not eager to jump on the body fat scale after New Year's Eve festivities!). Our combined weigh-in today is 290 pounds. Our tandem weighs approximately 39 pounds (loaded with racks, water bottle cages).
What is your team weight?

Both captain and stoker contributed to the loss. Let's hope this 3.5% loss in weight increases our speed exponentially. BTW, the tandem weighs the same.

Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG
Well seeing how we are picking our "new to us" tandem up on Saturday and it is going to be snowing...
Cap'n 6'-2" 200# (holiday caught up to me, normal fighting weight is around 185-190)
Stoker 5'-.9999" moon weight unknown
Bike- Who knows? it is a Raleigh Companion, but can't weigh as much more than my Raleigh Superbe or my Worksman bike at work.

Captain 511"-185, Stoker 5'3'- 120.....seasoned C'dale road tandem is currently at 40 pounds ...the only one loosing weight in this combo is the bike! As part of my winter fun project, I have it down from 43 pounds in November and heading for 37 or 38 by spring. Working on the bike's weight is a whole lot more fun than working on the other two jokers in the trio.

We're one big gear mashing team. I'm 6'1 and my wife is 5'10 with a team weight just over 380. The bike is a Comotion Speedster with the weight unknown. We are everyone's favorite draft. We live in Florida so we don't have to contend with huge climbs. During the summer on a club ride we averaged just over 24 mph for a 50 mile loop. We had a lot of friends that day. We also completed our first tandem century this summer with a time of less than 5 hours. My daughter is 5'6 and doesn't put out the watts but she loves being able to ride with the 16 mph group.
