I did a search and couldnt find anything on this topic. I wanna install drop bars and ergo levers for the stoker. I have a set of bars and I was looking at the Cane Creek dummy levers for about $30-$35. Then I found a set of new Tektro R200A levers for $22. I guess both are fairly inexpensive but the actual working levers are cheaper than the dummies. I cant see a problem with installing real levers that are inop. Anyone out there doing this? Also,which ones are more comfortable? I'll spring for the extra 10 bucks if the Cane Creeks are more comfortable.

My wife didn't care for the Cane Creek levers, they are kind of large. They are also quite heavy.
I have some really old Dia Compe's that I just removed the levers from.
Shape and size is personal preference. For myself I like the shape of Campy ultra shift levers.
Sometimes you can find broken ergo or STI levers on ebay for a reasonable price.

My stoker has asked for carbon drop bars. I would also like to know what our options are for dummy levers other than the Cane Creeks mentioned above. I haven't ruled them out, just wondering what other options are out there for drop bars.

I just bought some of the Cane creek stoker levers for our new build. 254 grams for the set! Yikes! Boat anchors.

The Dia-Compe Knob Grips look interesting. Anybody know what they weigh?

Maybe I'll just gut some old levers and put on there like jnbrown suggested.

I have the knob grips they weigh 60g each. Not using them because they are not comfortable to rest your hands on and there isnt much to grab on to but YMMV.
I would gladly send them to you but I can only find one right now.
If the other one shows up I will let you know. There has been mentioned something similar made out of carbon fiber but I was never able to find them for sale anywhere.
I wish Calfee came out with something.

I'll take your word for it that the diacomp knobs are not comfortable. I do appreciate the offer.

I'll go with my boat anchors for now. I'll work on a lighter solution for the future. I'll be sure and post anything interesting I find.

I have the Cane Creek stoker levers on our Co-Motion Speedster, and the stoker liked them. When we bought our Calfee, it was love at first ride for the Profile Design Cobra Wing carbon fiber bars - and at 210 grams, they weigh less than just the Cane Creek levers. However, at $200, not a cheap solution. But the stoker says they were worth every penny.

They are similar to the Diacompes but without the rubber covering.
