3rd Annual Walloon Lake Tandem Rally
The 3rd annual Walloon Lake Tandem Rally was held this past weekend. This rally is put on by Joel & Wendy Hakken of Midwest Bike & Tandem https://www.midwesttandems.com/index.html. Our home base for the weekend was the Boyne Valley Lodge https://www.boynevalleylodge.com/, which is owned and run by Anne & Nick, fellow tandem riders.
The weather was incredible as we had sunshine all weekend, along with temps around 60 at the start, and reaching the high 70's during our rides. The Michigan fall colors were at their peak.

Really nice looking event, sure wish we had something like it here in Co. Spgs., it's almost like "TANDEM" is a dirty word, the very few shops that stock them usually have them "hidden" in back. Yes, there is a "tandem only" shop in Denver but since we don't own a CAR, it's LOOOOOOONG ride to any of their few events,
