Swap Meet prices . . .
Attended the Tucson GABA BikeSwap meet on 4/14/13.
Saw 3 used tandems offered for sale:
1990s Santana alu frameset, asking $75.
Mid-1990s Burley Mt. Bike tandem with Alsop stoker beam: $425
A rusted, but rideable, 1930s Schwinn asking $200.

Crazy cheap for that Santana aluminum frame at $75. Probably worth that in scrap alone. I hope whoever bought it looks closely for cracks and other issues.
I've been seeing a lot of Alsop beam tandems up for sale recently. I wonder if there is still a market for those. I'm guessing an Alsop tandem probably commands less in the used market now as they are not terribly well known and are a bit of a niche item in an already niche (tandem) market.

Have to wonder if the Santana might have been stolen. That is incredibly cheap.

Alsop 'beamer' tandems are still around; best stoker comfort $$ can buy!
The 'tana frame seller did not even get any offers . . . most tandem folks realize that the brand has some proprietary issue like 160mm spacing, etc.
