Fort Worth

Give me some general info. I just moved here. Where is a good place to ride? I live up north, like Davis and 1709.

So I presume that is Keller bordering Southlake. Hm as for riding not sure. There are some smaller streets that I notice a lot of bicycling people ride in near my house. These roads include in Southlake: Continental, south white's chapel; Colleyville: pleasant run, L.D lockett, tinker or bransford into the Colleyville Square. Keller has some good stuff near that Bear Creek conglomerate or the new Deer Hollow area as I used to ride over there back a few years ago.

Oh I know of a decent trail, but I haven't been on it yet. If you take Bear Creek parway all the way west to the very end, make a right turn to go north, for maybe around <100 feet up the road on the left hand side is a trail entrence of concrete that goes all the way past 377 and into I think north north Fort Worth. Was hoping to try it, but it's a long ride for me on my fuel.

The bicycles inc in Keller should have some group rides. That might be a good place to try first.

Do you ride road or mountain? That might help in recommendations. If you are looking for good road routes, you might tag along with Mad Duck's ride on Saturday mornings. It is usually a nice 50 or 55 mile ride, sometimes longer.

Edit: I didn't see any Keller rides on the Bikes Inc event page, but Team Bikes Inc has some rides out of the Keller Store complete with maps if you want to ride on your own.

Here's that link (look for, 'From Keller'): https://www.teambicyclesinc.org/Stand...tm#Ride%20Maps

If you are looking for Mountain riding, check out Rockledge Park at Grapevine Lake. You can do about 16-18 miles 'out & back'.

Link: https://www.dorba.org/ (click on 'Trails', then 'Trail conditions', then look for 'Northshore' in Grapevine. Rockledge Park would be the best place for you to start -- East on 1709 to Grapevine, continue East on Northwest Highway through Grapevine, then turn Left on Fairway Drive (by the Cowboys Golf Course), then turn Left into Rockledge Park just past the spillway...should take you about 15 minutes from Keller/Southlake).

Thanks for the replies. Generally just road, but I do have a MTB that I take out several times a year.

The Bicycles Inc. store would be a good place to start.
