Wensday Night Ride Starting Up

Montrose Bike Gang will be started up last week for those late night owls this ride meets in the parking lot of Hollywood Video (1201 Westheimer) at Midnight and usually rolls out at 12:30 or so. This a leisurely pace and between 10 to 20 miles I rode quite a bit with them last year and is a pretty fun group. It is not too uncommon for some to show up after a couple drinks or for it to end at a bar for last call. Not your usual club ride but an interesting one. Just thought I would pass this along.

Edit: If you drive there don't park in the parking lot they will tow, park on the street.

In a couple of weeks, when I start a lengthy vacation, I just might show up for this, and give it a try. I usually work at night, so can't usually do stuff like this.

+1 on the parking issue! There is not nearly enough parking in Montrose/Midtown/Downtown, so almost all private business parking lots have contracts with wrecker services to tow all non-customers, and customer means someone who is currently on-site. Going into a business and buying a small item, then leaving your car while you go elsewhere, will still get you towed.

I actually work in the strip center of that parking lot and that is the case though not setup by the companies that rent but by the property owner. This tow company is pretty aggressive they watching via video cameras have even towed the employees before.

Did I see y'all this week, riding past Grif's on Roseland, four riders, with one dinging a bell? There were two police cars parked on Roseland, in front of Grif's at the time. If so, a belated howdy!
