Montgomery plaza. On 7th street. If you miss this you better be dead or in jail.

Whew, made it over there, rode a little bit on their ride, made it back. Looked to be a pretty decent bunch of guys, mostly about half my age or so. About a dozen people.
I rode to the Garland DART station, took that to Union Station, took TRE to ITC station, then rode over to Mongomery Plaza. Met one of the ride participants on the train on the way. I followed the ride to the first stopping place, a taco stopover, got refilled on my fluids, and then took off on my own from there. I rode back down to the Trinity Trail, and followed it around the north side of town to 7th, rode down in the Trinity Park a ways, circled back up by Montgomery Plaza, and then headed back to ITC. On the way back, I saw the one guy that was riding a BMX-type bike headed back west. Got back to ITS and had an hour to kill, so I circled up a couple of miles and found a Subway, then back to ITC and back to Dallas. Turns out the guy that was on the TRE going over was on the same train but different car going back. Back at Union Station, I waited a good while for a Blue Line DART, then when it finally showed up, it was too full for any bikes. So I rode my bike from there up to the Mockingbird Station, and waited another 40 minutes for another DART train there. Finally got back to the house (and water) about 9:00 or so. Put 46.5 miles on the bike today when it was all over with.

I noticed you have some photos posted on the FFW site there- looks like a good time was had by all.

What attracted my attention here was the skid & trackstanding contests. I figured I'd head over and watch that. Then I looked back on the site and saw that they were after the ride, not at Montgomery Plaza, but figured I'd head over anyway just to get out of the house. I'd seen pictures from one of the previous events so I sort of knew what to expect in terms of group size and all. I'm good for a fair number of miles, but not fast either, so I figured I'd ride with y'all a ways and then split off when it was convenient, and the taco place was a good place for that.
Several months ago, I came over just to ride on the Trinity Trails- they're pretty neat. I started there off 4th street on the east side of town, where we crossed the river on the way out, and rode around the north side of town and on down to Benbrook and back. I'll be back over there again some time or another, I'm sure.
