Picked up a Brooks!

Found a hardly used Brooks B-17 Special Women's saddle on CL. My wife like her current one so I thought it would be a good idea to have a second one for the tandem. That way I can set it up and not have to keep swapping them back and forth.
So for $60 I am quite please!

Haha! I been eyeing that saddle, but my wife don't ride. Glad you got it! We must browse the same city ads.

Hehehe. I thought from your thread title you were going to post:

But I put it down again. How can you guys ride with a brick like that?!

I've made it an art form to browse eBay looking for used Brooks from riders who just can't come to terms with them. Like you, I picked up one recently here in Australia, a women's B17, packaged in with a pair of Shimano A530 pedals for my MTB for $100 including postage.

If you don't tell anyone it is a woman's saddle, I suspect nobody would know you are riding on something other than a manly saddle.

Three of my Brooks were used but nearly new when I bought them.

Bikes: yes!

I noticed immediately when I unpacked a bike parts order and the B17 saddle was awfully short. Ladies version is about an inch and half short, which at first glance makes the saddle appear extraordinarily wide.

If you own a Brooks saddle (Or two or three) you'll never be broke. Someone will always buy it.
