Two: road and mtb. Considering a third -- on/off road touring -- but that would be 'paid for' by selling-on the mtb.

Bikes: 2013 Surly Disc Trucker, 2004 Novara Randonee , old fixie , etc

Got 4 bikes but only ride the Surly Disc Trucker since it's fine for the groceries/local rides/touring I do. Would be fun to buy diff bikes but I figure to save the money for when touring bike market gets the new tech for reasonable prices.

Bikes: Too many! Santana tandems and triplet; MTBs; touring bikes

Way too many! Planned to sell some this past summer but time got away from me. That's a goal for this winter. If I see a good deal on a (used) bike that I think I might like, I grab it. If I like it better than one I already have, I keep the "new" one and sell the other. At least that's how it's supposed to work (upgrading). The problem is that I like all my current bikes, and use them for different types of riding, so I can't decide which to sell. Sigh...

Of course not got have one of each in each category, plus might as well have some 26'ers as well just in case you need a much smaller wheel or need a little vintage.
