Wanderlust Vibes
Hey all,
So it's late here, and I'm up going through photos of a cross country trip I took a few years ago and planning the next adventure. If I had to put it on paper, I would have to say It was one of the best times of my life, and since then I've been planning the next adventure. While i would like to do things sooner than later. I'm currently working on a way to build some passive income so I can travel by bike wherever I want to. It's been two years since that big trip and since, I've gone on short bikepacking trips which are also great but I'd like to ride the greater ranges of the world. I've been seeking out biking Colombia lately. More in particular Bogota and Medellin which are the two cities I wanted to ride A to B. Initially planned to do it in June for a month but unfortunately, may have to shorten it to two weeks.
I'm not completely bummed out about it, I just needed a place to write and felt this tour forum would be best. Now's a good time to ask questions... Has anyone every planned a trip and have it get cut down due to unwritten circumstances? Has anyone, travel to location for just a week or two at a time but wishes they can stay there forever. I'm beginning to think Eckhart Tolle's Power Of Now is beginning to feed through my veins. Currently in the process of building wheels for my current bike. Sighhhh wanderlust vibes.

Every tour I have done, with the exception of the first, has been cut short due to reality. Just the way it will be, at least until retirement. And in all reality, probably on through retirement. I just do what I can do. Right now, in the cold and snow of winter, I'm shifting my tour mode to ultra-light credit card camping. Going from my Surly LHT, panniers and 60 total pounds, to a Roubaix, Revelate bags and 30 pounds. Working on the packing list and a lighter me. Trying to make the most of whatever time i have on the bike.
