Kinky training
So, I was in Dick's Sporting Goods today, looking to replace my neoprene socks/shoes, when I saw a new item called a training mask. Supposedly, it was for runners to simulate the effect of high-altitude training. I can just about imagine passing out while riding...isn't that what happened to a couple of celebrities recently?

I was hoping you were going to use Dick's Sporting Goods in it and was quite disappointed. Plenty of good puns could be made with kinky training and "Dick's".
People buy all sorts of stuff to simulate randomness because people are to lazy to go out and do the real thing. If I was going touring in a very high altitude area I would try and spend some actual time there and slowly build up (but high altitudes aren't really my thing though I have had a lot of fun in Denver in past years)
