Polar opposite here (sic) we got a 20cm dump a few days ago, commuted on ye ol mtb with knobbies and low pressures. Fun sliding around, although had to be bundled up as this morning had -20c wind-chill.

I like winter and all, but yowzer, this was an early Bing bang boom into full on winter November 12....

better you than me, I've never done winter camping and fully admit that I have no inclination to try it!

its funny, re 2F....I'm pretty much bilingual for speeds mph kph, weights, but for temps, because we switched to metric in the 70s, I always have to look up temps as I have no clue...so 2F is about -15c , yup chilly.

have fun you hardy souls

I thought these were an appropriate pictures to post on the 1st anniversary of France's Yellow Vests' protests. This was taken in Paris on June 21, 2018. It was just starting. And yes, I was on a bike tour.

Guess who the police office is pointing at?

I'm preparing for my annual tour that starts in two weeks, I found more photos from my Gopro and back up microSD cards.

This sums up what you would expect if it starts to rain in Laos or Cambodia.

Border control, Laos side to get the exit stamp.

Entering Cambodia Border control.

Pretty much both sides of the border are deserted. The Cambodian side wasn't paved, but I was happy that it wasn't raining.

Some really cool stuff over there. 👍 Somehow, it makes me think of the early Lara Croft/Tomb Raider games. 🤔😁

I worked my way through the crowd, got to the restaining tape, and stepped underneath it to get on the steps for a better angle. I was actually standing next to 3 other police officers when I was taking the pictures. I've learned that if you act like you belong there, it is not usually questioned:)

Don't know any of your senses of humour, but the old film, Zombieland, had a very bad black sense of humour. Film started out with the main character telling his post zombie apocalypse rules, #1 was "Cardio"(ie keep ahead of the pursuing zombies) , and how at the beginning, the first to go were "the fatties"
Yup, bad sense of humour, but I laughed. I also laughed at Superbad.
In my defense, I also liked The Bicycle Thief and Sergei Eisensteins editing advances.....

Sorry this is so dark, I took it not long before a hail storm. To help you see the whole thing, look at that storage tank. 😁 ( It's tough to see, but it says, "Got milk"?And yes those are dairy cows, on a dairy farm. 😉

EDIT: Never mind the dumb narrative, lol. It was really sunny out today, & I couldn't see the pic well, after I posted it. 😉

Never a boring moment on Indian roads.

What could possibly go wrong?

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...f244651b25.jpg

Safety first - note the white stone in the road, the Indian version of a hazard triangle.

in Latin America, rocks are used and or the driver will take out his machete, cut off some branches and stuff, and do make a warning pile.
Does the trick.

Jaisalmer Rajastan India. Sort of hard to get to but almost worth the effort.

It reminds me of this lady that I met in Vietnam. She stopped and asked me to help her tie her luggage down even tighter.

Love the pic. Nothing better than a quiet country road.

In this part of India, Rajasthan, forts dwarfed anything I've ever seen anywhere in Europe.
