Here's my super heavyweight at the start of the mountains going to Canmore. Then in Washington on Long Beach and the other 2 Oregon. The grocery bags refuse to leave my bars. LOL. But they also help dampen the steering.

Came out of the road from Challis up through Salmon, and into Montana, then tooled around north of Jackson a bit. Beautiful area. Much of it looked like the photo above. One of my favorite places, between the months of May and October that is. Notice my front rack is crooked in the third photo, which was taken after we got back on pavement. I had lost a bolt thanks to the bumps. Last week began with my wife and I checking the gear we were planning to take on a tour next month. We had a few hours of panic when we could not find our tent. It was not in its usual spot, which was a mystery, as we keep our gear pretty well organized. We finally remembered that we packed it when we were notified of a potential evacuation due to wildfires burning north-east and south-east or our town last summer. It still took us another hour to find it.
We wanted to set the tent up and familiarize ourselves with it, because we only used it a few times in 2019 when it was new. While looking at the tent my wife had an idea: let’s just do a S24O at one of the five very nice state or county parks located within a 20 mile radius of our home, and check out all of our gear. Doug, that's a really neat causeway thing. Was it originally for trains? Looks a bit steep for trains, but it's quite the extensive wooden supporting structure under it isn't it?

Yes. It’s the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes. I believe there was originally a swing bridge span to allow for the passage of water craft.
