A pond on the Northern Rail Trail in East Andover, NH. The trail tracks the original NRC line (1845) between Concord, NH and White River Junction, VT. I rode 58 miles of it each way with the overnight in Lebanon, NH. Yeah, yeah, credit card tour but hard work for this septuagenarian. More of the story over where us SeptaGs hang. 1974 Gitane Gypsy Sport frankenbike with 700x38 tars.

First week was wet and cold, I looked at the weather forecast every morning and literally headed wherever the chance of rain was less . Wanted to go to Segovia, ended up in Vitoria-Gasteiz instead. Next time!

Yes, I agree. Always fun to see these sorts of Spanish landscapes. Its too bad my wife just isnt up to these sort of trips, too remote for her.
The photos from here and some of str 's trips always give me wanderlust to go there.

Luckily I've been able to go off on my own on trips that don't suit her.

I'd be interested in knowing more details of your route at some point and whatnot.
Really nice set of photos.
Cheers

It's remote, but there are hotels and hostales in most little cities.

Overlooking Koblenz from the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.

It was a hell of a hike-a-bike to the top.
That is the Moselle River flowing into the Rhine River, which is barely visible in the center of the image.
