Short Tour of Cape Cod

Last week, and at the last minute, I asked for a route from Bourne to Provincetown on Cape Cod. I also downloaded a route onto my Garmin Edge Touring GPS. As often happens when on tour, planning ahead doesn't do much. We were fine from Fairhaven MA to the Cape Cod Canal. From there is was Helter Skelter.

We did make it to Provincetown, a 102 mile ride in just under 12 hours. 7 1/2 riding, and the rest of the time trying to beat back the heat and humidity. We went through a lot of water, to say the least. It's all documented HERE for those interested.

Great blog. And a great place to ride a bike if the weather cooperates.

I ride in and around Truro and Wellfleet (as well as the CCRT) every year when we are in Truro for the last week of August and first two or three weeks of September. This year I have signed up to ride the Harbor to the Bay AIDS charity ride from Boston to Provincetown in a day... 125 miles/double metric century. The reason I mention it is that the route is well documented and has been refined over the 14 years of this event and is readily available at Ride With GPS... https://ridewithgps.com/routes/13134103
