Agreed, but for the type of dirt tours most folks take (Great Divide, Mickelson, etc.) the tire dimensions of the Trek 920 would be perfectly adequate.

I was thinking the same thing, but I went and test rode one this past weekend just to see and what a fun bike!! I don't see myself ever buying one, but I could definitely see the appeal and have a different perspective and appreciation for them.

I like my fatbike with its 26" x 4" tires, so I can just imagine how nice the 29+ rolls out. Best of both worlds, I bet.
