The Touring Shop

Hey Gang,

In this world of ordertakers who don't know the products, or people who's only job is to get your money from you, I have to tell you about my experence today. I'm looking for a set of Racks and Panniers, and I recall someone here posting a link for The Touring Store . Wayne runs pretty much a 1 man operation, will talk your ear off with suggestions, has no hesitation if you need something he doesn't have to recommend where to find it. He has the Lone Peak and Ortleib Bags, and Tubus racks, excellent prices, is is straight up with you.

I ended up getting racks and panners from him, the price is more than fair, the advice is priceless. One warning, don't call him if you've only got 5 minutes between meetings to do business, he really believes in making sure that you get what will best fit your needs. He is also having some issues with his 800 number provider, so if you get told the call can't be completed, or some quick beeps, just try again in a few minutes.

Yep. Wayne has great customer service. Highly recommended. One of the best prices on the net for Tubus racks too.

Below is a picture of our bikes outfitted with his racks and panniers. (Yes, I like my bike!)

Yes, I just bought raincovers for my Lone Peak front panniers. Reasonable price. Fast e-mail response. Wayne seems like a good guy to work with. Sent out the covers as soon as the check got there. No credit card which is fine with me.

There are many small niche operations out there, usually one person operations. Most have fast service, a wealth of product and venue knowledge and reasonable prices. I'm one of them and I/we appreciate the business.
