I think this is the first time I have seen Brooks panniers in actual use instead of a marketing photo. How do you like them? Do they use the same attachment hardware that the newer Ortlieb panniers use?

That blurry campsite photo makes me nostalgic. Do you have an itinerary or are you just doing it day by day?

I got the brooks panniers on closeout. I understand I would have still paid less for ortliebs. However they work great and don't move at all in place. They have th locking top for the rack rail and the same adjustable tab. I really like the fasteners. You can pack the bag pretty lopsided and it still works. I am using a big Agnes 1 person tent and it fits in the panniers no sweat.

If you are in Southern Wisconsin today, try to stay dry. Forecast for 9am to 9pm today.

Great diner.

Hennipin canal maintenance

This was difficult with my tires and the weight of my bike.
Also yes I have an itenary trying to make state parks each day. Rode 72 miles today and camped at white pines. Just let me say the trails suck on my bike. 32mm tires and dirt or gravel trails slow me down quite a bit.

I always like it when people try to carve a niche out in this new e economy and a full service sentence repair service is just what is needed (imho). I especially like the fact that I can drop the comment off in the morning before work and have it fixed before dinner that same day. Great service!

5/5

Only did 57 miles today. Really tired of trails but Wisconsin roads are pretty scary. Super8 tonight

I am not sure where the OP is, but southern Wisconsin has been wet with fluctuating temperatures. On Thursday I wore long pants and long finger gloves on my bike, but this coming Monday through Wednesday should get close to 70. But intermittent wet until Thursday.

Between now (Saturday morning) and mid-day on Tuesday we expect about one to three inches of rain in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

But starting on Thursday it gets colder and drier.

In Wisconsin you can buy Everclear, 190 proof. Even lighter than 151.
