I usually use the word tubular too, but for my question to clarify I said sewups just to make sure. If you did not know what a sewup was, that would answer the question.

I do not recall which tires I used, Clement brand, but model I am not sure. It was a cotton wider tire. I could not afford silks, and I usually patched them when flatted, but only if I was confident that I would only have to sew up less than half a foot of tire after patching them.
