Hopefully that is a sign that all is well.

I still expect eventually more information will surface elaborating on events and timeline.

Maybe they took the money and went silent. Seems they took some good advice there, instead of digging a deeper hole every time they opened their mouths.

I took that as a given.

You can still ask Google/Siri/whatever anything you want. You just won't get an answer.

I live in a cellphone dead zone, and am close enough to Santa Cruz to commute by bike.
I have often yelled at clouds on a tour, and have yet to get an answer.

The Sheriff provides an update on the following podcast: https://www.kmjnow.com/2025/06/09/sh...s-conjured-up/

Update: I've now listened to this. General summary is that sheriff doesn't have evidence but is skeptical and believes that the story has been embellished.

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides.

This is a weird thing for a sheriff to say in public into an Internet mad for conspiracies. As plenty well evidenced by the LATimes article below which is almost entirely sourced from a thread on the website that has read it

I like the Judy Collins version more.

I do too. Her version is more dramatic with the chimes, drums & orchestra. But Jama makes a valid point ... you've gotta have "from both sides NOW" to rhyme with "and still someHOW"

The facts in the story are still the same regardless. She and her family have the opportunity to explain the oddities at any time, but remaining quiet and keeping the money is a good decision, IMO, since they really can't do so without making things worse.

How many here remember Balloon Boy? I remember at the time instantly thinking the story was BS on seeing the live video of the balloon, which was far too small to carry a child aloft. But far too many people get their physics knowledge from cartoons instead of the science class they slept through.

Next you'll tell me "Up!" didn't really happen.
