no doubts you were sitting there on the internets wondering what the Sam Hill did that lame O do with that alleged never gonna go tour bike he got his self?

I went on a S24O hoping to get some cyclotouring motivation. Still ain’t got it….

I didn't notice where you said you were allegedly never going to go on a tour. What's the reasoning for the lack of motivation? Just general life business?

I guess I didn’t bring it up- maybe I was thinking there are folks who talk about going but never take action. And I was/am putting myself on the category.

last year I noticed a sharp decline in motivation to get out the door and go tour after a mid summer short tour. I took the train a couple hours one and planned to spend 3 days riding back. Man!! It was hot! And it kept raining so it was humid! The camp ground was Mosquitoville! And humid.

It was the Midwest in all its glory. And the Bells brewer tour was not available!!

So I’m hoping Meet Me in Manchester is full as it’s mid summer, but close and tempting. I’m thinking late summer/fall for a long ish tour. Cooler weather!
Maybe a ride to the Hoodag in Wisconsin.
It would be solo. I’m fine for about 4 days solo. After that I get a little nuttier/home sick. But the Hoodag would be with people for a couple days.

If I had other interests- like gambling, golf, or pickle ball- I’d have a whole different set of distractions.

Yes- I’m digging the new bike and color. It’s like a chameleon- in low light it’s kind of brown. In bright sun it’s got lovely sparkles in the paint.
