ACA Route-Digital?

I may need to go this way as it appears that the paper version is not available.
Anyone here tell me how this works?
Thanks!

As I recall, once you make the purchase they email you a code that allows you to download the file (GPX?). You can then upload the file to your bike computer or smart phone or both. When used with RWGPS one supposedly has access to all the detailed info that was traditionally provided in the their paper maps. I've used their digital maps on both a Garmin and an iphone. If I remember correctly, one does not need a subscription with RWGPS to use the file but the subscription may be necessary if you like to customize the file, something I have struggled with (maybe because I am not a regular user of RWGPS).

They are providing their Golden Gravel Route free so one might experiment with the process by ordering one of those segments and playing with it.
