I notice on the Bianchi web site https://www.bianchiusa.com/1405.html that the Volpe frame is designed for "comfort and lightweight carrying capacity." Is this a recommendation against riding this bike fully loaded? Does anyone have any experience touring on one they can share? Thanks.
This year, they switched from Reynolds steel to Bianchi "mystery steel." They used to advertise it more for loaded touring, but the "lightweight carrying capacity" line is now there instead. I do know that on the occasions when I loaded up my 2003, it was more wiggly than my '86 Trek 620.
So maybe it isn't the best option for touring. Maybe bianchi usa would answer an email about it.

I've emailed Bianchi USA about this and will post their reply. In the meantime, any other Volpe experiences are greatly appreciated.
