Tuscany in April
My girlfriend and I will be in Tuscany for a week starting April 8th. I've looked for tours, 3-6 days long, that fit those dates, abilities and our budget, but could not find any. We've biked RAGBRAI a couple of times and have done centuries. So it looks like we will either rent bikes from a bike shop or find a place to stay in the countryside that has bikes available that are of decent quality.
Does anyone know of great place to stay that has bikes available or a town that has good road bikes for rent? She is size 51cm top/center, I am 55cm.

Have you looked at the weather? That time of year, it may be a little bit cold, and a little bit rainy still. That may be why you're having a hard time finding a tour.... but then again, I'm just speculating. It seems like they're having a harder than normal winter out there in Italy... maybe just plan for a trip and see how the weather is. Then if it's crap weather, you can stick to the trains, and if it's good weather, you can find a bike shop in the area and see if you can rent bikes for a day or two.

Every day a winding road
Give www.slowtalk.com a try. Lots of local folks that are really wonderful. I will be touring Italy in September and they were a great help.
