BackPack Pannier Combo?

Has anybody every used the Nashbar Pank n' Pannier? I want to do squeeze some modest touring in Belgium and the Netherlands during a free week this Fall, and envison taking a train to different cities and renting a mountain bike with a rack and carrying a pretty small load betweent the pack and a handlebar bag. Plus I am going to start commuting to work on my mountain bike and need to carry just a small laptop and lunch, and will carry the pack a short distance from my bike to my office.

I am sure it will be not be a great back pack or pannier, but I like being able to carry it as a backpack when not on the bike. It is not terribly expensive, and seems worth checking out. Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated

Try Panpack www.panpack.com : I have the daypack low rider version. It's very well made and the rucksack it forms if very strong.

I got it to go with a Ritchey folding bike. Here are some more details panpack.pdf
