Day rides near Shiloh, TN or Corinth, MS
Greetings,
We'll be taking the tandem for a long-weekend trip to Shiloh National Military Park. We may end up car-camping just off the Natchez Trace in MS. Can anyone recommend day rides in these areas? Is the Trace the best riding in the area? We've driven the entire trace before and it obviously seems like a great route for a 400 mile multi-day tour. But a 40 mile out-and-back day ride might be a little boring.
This doesn't really seem to belong in the touring forum - but the road-bike forum seems racing oriented, and the 'family and recreational' forum seems a little more for "around the block" cyclists.
Am I missing a forum for day-touring, sport-riding, etc?
Thanks,
Steve A.

Shiloh is about the only historical type park in the area but Pickwick lake and damn are not to far away and the area is nice but very hot and humid (in the mid 90's today) this time of year.

I lived in Corinth for a few years. The riding isn't all that great around there. Narrow roads, lots of dogs. Shiloh and the Trace were my two favorite rides. I didn't have too many enjoyable rides anywhere but those two locations.

Thanks ..
Thanks for the replies.
The main purpose of the trip is to visit Shiloh - but we always take the bike along. It looks like we'll do some riding on the Trace.
