The flickstand is really a nice part. The problem is that they only work on bikes without front fenders and anyone that owns a touring bike these days should have fenders on it.

Riding in the rain with fenders and a rain cape is really the way to go. You stay mostly dry and don't get soaked by sweat inside your own personal sauna.
