Short answer- no. It would be a great combo though- . Lake and shimano have excellent sandals but they do not have the toe cover that Keens have. My wife uses the Lake's and the footbed is recessed slightly so there is some toe protection.

If anyone with the standard Keen sandals and the SPD Keen sandals can compare the fit I'd be interested to hear your opinions. The SPD Keen looks quite narrow compared to the standard Keens.

I have the regular Keen sandals and love it. Glad to hear Keen came out with dedicated cycling version. I'll probably visit the local REI store and check out a pair designed for cycling.

I too use the Keen Newton sandal, and would like to hear feed back about their SPD offering. I have been waiting to see them for quite a while now.

Let us know ASAP

thanks

Now we need someone to check them at REI's store and post a review.

They are way narrower than the regular keens so I didn't buy them.

Shame on them.
Did you know the difference in centimeters in the widest part of the foot?

Sorry I don't know. They felt about two sizes too narrow versus a regular keen. All other keens I have tried had plenty of room across the toebox. These were too narrow across the toebox. Kind of pinched my outside toes inward instead of allowing them to point straight ahead.

Lots of cool cycling clothing for women too.

I searched for a thread, but haven't seen a review on these yet. Anyone have experience with them? I'm wondering about the sizing compared to the non-spd keen sandal, the stink factor and general impressions.

I bought a pair today. I've got small feet, so I had to buy the Women's 8 (Men's sizes don't go down far enough). Fortunately, it is just grey, instead of black, so it doesn't look girly.

They are definitely more narrow than the regular Keens. I for one, am happy, since for me, the regular Keens are far to wide.

The Keen SPDs have a good fit, can snug up well, and have a fairly deep tread. My initial impressions are good. I'll report back after I've got some miles on them.

My Keen SPDs came today. Went for a short ride to test them out a little and I love them. As people have said, they do run a little narrow. Something that surprised me is how light they are. I'll be wearing these things every where and taking a long ride this weekend. Great shoes so far.

I tried them on at REI shortly after they came out and they were much too narrow for me and had a much "cheaper" feel than a normal Keen sandal. I bought the Nike SPD sandal and am beginning to like them very much.

Keen Sandals w/SPD

I was in a bike store (Jans) today in Park City, UT and saw 2 different pairs of Keen sandals with SPDs. I did not get models tho. So just keep looking.

they are extremely comfortable to cycle in. walking around with them is ok. all around, i think they are better than the alternatives.

wow, normal Keens must be quite wide from all of the above statements. I have semi big feet and ordered the largest Keens they make, I was worried about the width from comments I had read, but to be honest. These things seems wider and more comfortable than my normal spds.

I have zero complaints about them as of yet. Very comfortable.

One review I read mentioned that on larger sizes(11 or greater) it's impossible to get the cleat far enough forward to keep the toes from getting jammed into the end. Has anyone here had that problem?

+1; I have had the Keen Commuter SPD sandals since early-2008 when REI first started offering them. I love them and prefer them over my Shimano MT-40 SPD shoes in temps over mid-50s. I have used them on metric centuries, a weekend ride of 150 miles and a weeklong 300-mile tour last summer without any discomfort whatsoever.
