Need help on expedition touring bike build

I want an expedition touring bike for the Great Divide Trail. I own a C'dale KV900 w/rear rack mounts, front suspension, good shape. I like this frame but would consider another, if substantially better. What to do? Build up the C'dale, or start with another frame? Money is not an issue but I don't want something so exotic that it can't be repaired en route. Thanks.

The KV900 is a great frame. I'd stick with it if it fits you well and throw a BOB Ibex on the back to carry your gear. Invest in some bomber wheels and your ready to roll.

For off-road touring, the BOB is the way to go...and I'm a pannier guy You might also want to look at a new fork, unless your's has a lock-out, for those smooth sections of the route.

Thank you both. I am personally glad that the Killer V will work as I do like the frame. I'll certainly consider the Ibex when the time comes. My rebuild begins.
