Trek 520 26'' Wheels ?

Trek 520 26'' Wheels ?
Hi!
I've checked the geometry of the Trek 520 and the Long Haul Trucker and I have the feeling that its very similar:

My trek 520 is rather a small frame, what do you say about installing the 26 wheels on my trek ? (Yes, I know about the brakes issue ...)

Check out the distance between the dropouts. Not sure if your 26" wheel will fit.

Depends on what you expect to gain by it. Care to elaborate on why?

BTW: How do you plan to resolve the brake issue?
