Bike Friendly hotels or Hostels in San Diego area?
I need a vacation badly. Was thinking about flying out to San Diego in March and staying in a really grimy slimy motel near the beach. Would like to bring my bike. Any suggestions much appreciated.

The San Diego YHA (Youth Hostel) hosts a 6-day trip every winter, google HI-USA Christmas Bike Trip, so I bet they are bike-friendly.

There aren't many grimy / slimey motels near the beach. They've been converted to condos. Try the Point Loma hostel or the state park beach campgrounds.

There is a KOA campsite in Chula Vista and you can get on the bay bicycle loop right from the campsite.. its not near PB but who cares you could ride to Coronado.
