Any ideas on which chains are a nice match for Rohloff speedhubs would be appreciated.

With my Rohloff I just use a standard shimano 8 speed chain, with a Sram Powerlink on one link so I can disconnect it to clean it.

My former randonneur ride partner who now makes Velosmith trekking and other bikes uses SRAM PC68 chains as his standard fitting. Rohloff also make their own chain, and I remember reading recently somewhere that they are regarded as *the* premium chain above all others for any purpose (Rolhoff hub or not).
