Trek 930

I currently own a Trek 520, but have come to realize that the bike is too small for me. My local bike shop has a 1979 Trek 930 frame in the proper size. Does anyone have experience touring on one of these bikes? This is the model with Columbus tubing. I believe it was designated a road-touring model. I intend to some some bike camping, then maybe some longer tours in the future.

I have my current bike, 1988 Trek 520, listed on Craigslist Chicago if anyone is interested.

Thanks

Jamie

According to brochure, the 930 has 41.5cm chainstays. Unless you have very small feet and/or panniers, it may have heel strike issues

The 910 would be better...
