My brother bikes alot and will be graduating soon. my parents were thinking of getting him a new touring bike as a gift. the budget is 2000$ and im almost positive he wants a cervelo. he is planning on biking up the east coast after he graduates and needs a new bike, with the info given, what are some suggestions for the best cervelo for 2000$?

For 2000, get a Bruce Gordon Rock and Roll.

I just looked at the cervelo webpage, and going by what they have listed there, all of their bikes are designed for racing: road, track, time trial or triathlon.

Not a single model was designed for low gears, racks, etc.

If a cervelo road bike is what your brother wants, maybe you should ask over at the road cycling forum. Of course, maybe cervelo has other models I am unaware of.
