store bike hard case in Rome, Italy airport???

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to store one's bike case in the Rome, Italy airport? We are planning a cycling trip there in June. Any other info about cycling through Italy would be most welcome.

Hi there,

I can't really help you about the bike case issue (I am awaiting an answer too !) but since I'm thinking about touring Italia too, here are two very good links:

www.bikeit.eclipse.co.uk/index.htm

www-math.science.unitn.it/Bike/Countries/Italy
(You probably already know about Trento Bike pages, very usefull)

Though things worked out differently, when we were planning to fly into Belgium, an alternative we considered was finding a hotel for the first and last nights and asking them to store the cases (three in our case) as part of the deal.

Someone we met on our trip did exactly that flying in and out of Toulouse, France at an Ibis Hotel.

Roma has 2 international airports "Ciampino" and "Fiumicino", if you tell me the one you are interested in, I can try to take some informations or make a phone call.

Ciao
