Inspired by the "Wildlife pics while touring" thread I thought a similar thread to showcase our experiences of touring through new cultures and foreign countries would be great for everyone to share. Please share your favorites.
My last extended touring trip was through china here are some of the shots I got. I rode with a 35mm SLR strapped to my chest so it was always right at hand to snap that perfect picture. All of these pictures were taken from or of biking through northern china.

Nice pics. I wouldn't want to be anywhere close to the tracks when the train goes by. They are not even laid strait; there are some strange curves in the rail.Originally Posted by nycwtorres

Wow, those are some great pics! They really instill a sense of adventure! However, you should have put the *other* picture of the photographer taking pictures of the girls (4th down) as a nice alternate POV.
My favourite is of the man on the bike, second from the bottom. Technically brilliant! The colour palette, exposure, composition, and subject really speak volumes to me...

Are those actual cows walking on the road past the Cow sign? Awesome. I had to buy a cow sign t-shirt when I was in spain.. no biking for me just a mini cooper. That pic would be perfect for the wildlife pic thread.
Caffeinated.
These were taken by a friend (my camera & pics were stolen):
House located on dirt road in NC mountains. Mannequin situated on front porch with picnic basket, cooler, opened beer bottle, canoe paddle, two USA flags, two howling coyotes, gargoyle, and handcuffs.
