anyone here from so cal. that has any ideas on doing some stealth camping in Turnbull? I've heard there are some good spots, but don't know where...any tips (map on bikely or a PM) would be great!

Bring a sidearm...There's better places than that to go camping around L.A..I guess if your "stealth" camping,it shouldn't matter where you stay?I'd have to think about that one.Turnbull Canyon??Raced alot of cars and bikes there...Camping?

I'm obviously not going to sleep on the side of the main road. I had a friend who has done some stealth camping there off some fire roads but before I could get specific directions he went off on another trip for a few months.

So I'm wondering if anyone has explored that area and can give some recommendations.

I was just looking on google maps and there is a big fire road that runs thru there(rose hills fire road #2).I see trees and scrubbrush around.I guess you shouldn't have too much trouble finding somewhere to camp.
