Airline question
I'm looking to fly to Ireland in May for a 2 week tour and the airlines I'm considering are Aer Lingus and Continental. Does anyone have any feedback on taking a bike on either of these airlines? Thanks!

We flew on Continental in 2007 and they were OK. We used their box ($25) and I think they charged us something like $75 extra per bike. I do not know how things are today though. It sounds like airlines are getting worse and worse about baggage as a general rule.

Aer Lingus charges for the bike, you have to pre-book a spot for it. Check their website for the full details. In fact, check the websites for both airlines, it pays to know exactly what the rules are.
