Everyone is different. The shorter steeper climbs like the ones in the Appalachians are harder for me than the long, but less steep climbs I found out west.

It was kind of funny, when we did the TA we got home and expected the short steep hills around home to be easy after riding 4244 miles and crossing the continental divide 9 times. We were surprised to find they were still as hard as ever
