Help!! LHT (size 54cm 26" wheel) Fender Help

2008 LHT size 54cm with 26 inch wheels.
Planet Bike Cascadia Hybrid/Touring fenders

How would you attach the front part of the rear fender to the chain stay bridge?

The instructions say to attach it with a zip tie. Does the zip tie go through the hole in the chain stay bridge (zip tie won't fit thru hole)? Or just loop around it somehow? Or some other way?

Pics would be helpful of any fender attachment.

The chainstay bridge is threaded. I think the PB fender comes with the correct size bolt and washer.

If the instructions say to zip tie it, they're probably offering that as an alternative for bikes w/o the threaded insert (racy mountain bike, probably)

I'd occasionally shoot some WD-40 into the hole in the front side of the bridge. Or some frame-saver. Definitely make sure the threads of the bolt and insert are lubed to prevent frame rust.

Ditto the bolt a the seatstay bridge and the bolts for the fender stays.

yes, the lovely thing about the lht is that it has almost every braze-on and threaded doodad that a fender-loving person could ever wish for. use the ziptie on a different project; bolt the thing on
