Southern Utah

I'm looking for a Southern Utah route, preferably a loop, that could be done in a week's time, roughly 4-500 miles. Not afraid of some climbing, but would like to stick to reasonably safe roads. Looking at Google maps, I see there are all kinds of possibilities. I'm hoping somebody on here has some experience with these roads and can recommend a route.

Thanks!

Mark

Sounds like a loop using 12, 24 and 89 might make a nice loop for you. Spectacular scenery, pass a number of national and state parks. Good quite roads for riding. Starting and finishing the loop in Panguitch would probably work well.

A friend & I did a very nice loop in SW Utah beginning and ending in St. George. We went north to Enterprise, then east to Cedar City, through Cedar Breaks to Panguitch, over to Bryce Canyon, then to Zion NP, then back to St. George. There's a serious climb up to Cedar Breaks and it snowed there in mid-may, which is not unusual. In fact, the visitor's center wasn't open yet for the season. OTOH, it reached the 90s in low altitude St. George. The entire route was on paved roads and traffic levels were low.
