Univega Specialissima

Picked up a really interesting bike yesterday at a bike swap. It's a 1981 Univega Specialissima made of Tange Champion tubing. The interesting part, is just how closely it mirrors the equivalent Miyata 1000 of that year. It has virtually the same components, down to the headset EXCEPT for the fact that it was set up with centerpull brakes instead of cantis. Same chainstay protector, same lugs with diamond cutouts, all the typical Miyata stuff. I have two other Univegas (one a Nuovo Sport with mirrors the 1987 Miyata 312 of the day) and also used to own a Miyata 610.

Now for the bad part (for me anyway), the frame is HUGE! Like 62cm huge, which will never EVER fit me. I bought the bicycle for the components which I will use on another of my rides. It's too bad, as it is a really nice frame. Anyone else have a smaller one that they want to trade for this one? In the meantime, I'm digging my new Cyclone RD and FD!
