56cm 26in Surly LHT

I am just about done building my LHT and wanted to share. The only thing left to do is change the gearing as my old gearing was 12/25. Almost everything was a swap from my old bike. Blue was the only available color, but that was easy enough to change. I was lucky to get the last one that Surly had in stock and love the bike. Thanks for looking.

where did you get the frame? I've got a 56 in 700c and thinking of getting the 26" as I'm bugged about hitting the front fender all the time and like the nature of light 1.5" tires with an unloaded bike. Can you compare it's handling in any way to the 700c version? All that space under the seat stays is great for putting the spare tube/tool bag.

Looks great. Man, and I thought I had a lot of clearance around all the tubes on my 54cm frame! What tires are you using?

I have never rode the 700cc so I have no comparison, but it is a smooth ride. The frame was hard to find as they are being brought out in small lots. I got mine from a bike shop across town that was on the Surly dealer list. I have been waiting for this frame since they announced the new 26ers. The tires are Schwalbe Marathon winters 1.75's Thanks.

Very nice.

I was under the impression Surly had discontinued the 'Truckaccino' color for 2010.

Ahhh. That would explain the white decal, as well. I gotta start reading these posts closer.

I love my '09 52cm Truckaccino.
