60/62cm LHT in Toronto area?
Bit of a strange request but:
I'm wondering if there is anyone in the GTA that has a 60 or 62cm LHT that they would be willing to let me come check out/test ride for a few minutes.
Obviously I'd be willing to give collateral, but let me explain my situation.
I bought a 58cm Crosscheck about a year ago, on sale. I reckoned that despite the fact that it was smaller than what I usually ride that I'd be able to compensate with adjustments. Unfortunately adjustments work for 2 hours in the saddle okay, but 8+ hours and the fit is just WRONG and my body likes to tell me so. I've tried as many adjustments as possible and just become resigned to the fact that it's too small.
So what I'm planning on doing is buying a proper sized 60 or 62 cm LHT this season. The problem is that none of the authorized Surly dealers downtown will order in a 60 or 62cm in unless I commit to buying it -- but no way am I buying a bike without checking the fit first.
So this is where you come in, if you'd be willing to help out a fellow forum lurker and let me check the sizing on your LHT it would be a great help and get me one step closer to having more comfortable touring rides!
I'll throw in a six pack for the trouble.
Any other suggestions are also welcome.
Thanks.
(Also i'm 6'4 with a long torso, fwiw)

So you might consider trying to find a bike locally with similar specifications, that is if you come up short in your quest for the Surlys. Obviously it would be best if you can find one of each of the 60cm and 62cm. But as a next best thing...
Good luck.
