I finally got the front rack on the CROSSRIP
It will have a little fairing to aero the gear sitting on top when I get done making it.
The part you can't see is an Arkel Seatpacker 15.
No bar bags/no panniers. Trying to stay narrow/aero.

Having gone for the stealthy logos, it was hard to read in the photo. But I stand corrected by your superior knowledge.

Here is my 1984 Centurion Elite GT 15. It's been my baby/project bike for the past year now. It's still a work in progress, but I'm hoping to get some more bags, fenders, and a lighting system, then do at least a few short tours this year.

Probably the closest thing to a do it all bike I have seen... bonus for me is we have a state park about 20 miles from my home with pretty mellow single track... miles of it but a little chill for a full on mountain bike, would be really cool to ride to the park, hit the trails, camp for the night and head home sometime the next day... mini trips
May I ask what rack you’re running on your Cutthroat and what size your bike is? Did installation require bending any struts or was it relatively easy to install as-is?

My Cutthroat is a 2017 Rival. Frame size is large, & the rack is a Salsa Wanderlust. The horizontal stays supplied with the rack are straight. I bent mine, but you could also purchase bent ones from Salsa (link). I used Salsa's Rack-Lok seatpost clamp to provide the forward mounting points for the horizontal stays. I don't recall if I needed any additional spacers or longer hardware for the lower mounts or not. The Wanderlust fits perfectly. I'm very happy with the rack.

Thank you! I'm really excited to get out and do some camping on it soon. If I really enjoy that, I may try to plan out a much longer tour on it too.

Don't know why but I enjoy watching pics from this thread. Especially the old ones.

Here's one of mine from last year tour.

Oh yeah. That too. It made me want to quit my job and keep on riding. Touring is so dangerous.

don't have to quit your job, but certainly planning vacations if possible for longer trips is great fun, will be nearly 30 years since my first trip, and still enjoying it immensely.

First I've seen elevation specified in "Chains". I guess 4.36 chains equals 288 ft. At first I thought it was a measurement of how many bike "chains" you had to break to get to the top. Nice clean bike too!
