The tent is a Tarptent Contrail. It weighs 1.5lbs and is good for 3 season use. There's plenty of room
to stash my gear, get dressed comfortably and sit up in the entrance.
The frame is a Rivendell Rambouillet. It's great for this sort of light weight loaded touring

Here's my rig after about 3.5 months of my current tour. The Long Haul Trucker is the most comfortable ride I've ever had. The saddle on the other hand...
Also, maybe someone already mentioned this, but there's many pictures of fully loaded cycles at this site: https://www.fullyloadedtouring.com/

And lets not forget the flaps:

Somewhere in Nebraska on my way to Wyoming. Taken by my friend, Wojtek, that I had met a day or so earlier. Wear your helmets, people. I was being a little dumb.

My bike next to Wojtek's. He had everything on a trailer. I stole his sign idea.

my gunnar loaded for 9 day tour from (almost) portland to san francisco. I sewed the bags myself, which weigh in at 7 oz. for the pair and are custom fitted to my Tubus Fly rack. I couldn't have been happier with them. No problems in 680 miles.

Touring with one gear is possible (as long as it's relatively flat!). This was my second big trip with one gear. I'm ready to move to a bike with gears for my next trip.

for those in the midatlantic, the C&O canal and anything in the delmarva area are great fixed gear tours

My first overnight tour using my new Lonepeaks and Tubus racks from Wayne at thetouringstore.com, a total over 80 miles. This photo was taken at a state park outside of Macon, MO. The backroads of rural NE Missouri are very nice for touring.
Panniers are soooo much better than hauling around a 20+ pound toddler trailer full of gear.

I just got me a Cross Check and am thinking about doing some touring. These pics are inspirational as hell. Now I got to get the legs to do it
