I found this Bruce Gordon rock & road a couple months ago on craigslist. Love it! Here it is on the way to Samuel P Taylor SP for a quick overnight from SF. Those Ortliebs on the back are front rollers.

I'll try to get some more pics in the next couple of weeks. I need to go on a tour so I can get those loaded shots in an idyllic setting. Hopefully I will get over this cold and I can at least go for a ride this weekedn, so maybe I'll have some shots on monday.

About 3-4 weeks after i bough this BG, which is in perfect condition BTW, another one popped up on craigslist for about $500 more than I paid. It wasn't even in as good condition! It disappeared in a day or two so i can guess that they sold it for that price. I am really glad I pulled the trigger on this one when I did.

How well do you like your Hbars GT?. Are those Nashbar?. I love mine, set up much like yours, I wedged a 1/2" conduit between the bar ends for more room for lights, GPS, speedos etc..

Heavy isn't so bad, ya got have yur stuff, so set back, gear down, go slower and enjoy the ride.

Zoltani: Congratulation on the BG RNR buy. I know that you will enjoy it as much as i have mine for the last twenty years. You really can go anywhere with confidence. Keep the photos coming.

Took two rides this weekend. Saturday was 40 miles with 4000ft of climbing. It took all day since I am forever a tourist and had to eat sandwiches. sit in the woods, and just enjoy the area. The bike was comfortable all day, I love it! Here are some pics from my sunday ride, a quick jolt around the marin headlands.

My bike is a Trek 520 that I've been adding upgrades and accessories to lately. I just started touring with Jasmine, my dog, so this pic is from our last (first) tour. The sleeping bag, sleping pad and pillow are stored in the trailer hanging from the frame.

Jasmine weighs 55-60 lbs...not sure what she's at right now. If you have the patience, you'll probably enjoy having your dog along but I must warn you, it's much slower with a dog along! On Saturday, we did 22 miles and it took 5 hours. I'm slow without her though so you would probably not take nearly as long to cover the same miles. If you ever do decide to do it, I'd love to hear about it. Summer's coming on pretty quickly though so you'll need to take extra precautions to keep your dog cool enough.

The fenders are from Planet Bike. I made the mud flaps (you can only see the rear one in that pic) out of a stair tread to keep water and grit from smacking Jasmine in the face as she sits in the trailer directly behind the wheel. I just put yellow tape on my handlebars to match my fenders. I like yellow. :)

Mechanicalron, lovely set of panniers! Many other canvas bags have compression straps running down the sides. How do you fix the bags lower part to the rack and will the straps fixate cargo when half full?
