Route Suggestions Needed
I am going to Bangor Maine this May 1 of 2011.And I need suggestions on a safe route from Arkansas to Bangor Maine.I did join WarmShowers.org so that part will help a little I hope. And if anyone want's to join me on this trip you are welcome to ride.;)

The route I would take would generally be to the north and east.

Stay off the interstate, pick lightly traveled roads.

ACA routes: Underground Railroad route (http://www.adventurecycling.org/rout...ndrailroad.cfm) to either the TransAm Route (http://www.adventurecycling.org/routes/transamerica.cfm) then east on it to the Atlantic Coast route (http://www.adventurecycling.org/rout...anticcoast.cfm), Or the Underground Railroad route to the Northern Teir route (http://www.adventurecycling.org/routes/northerntier.cfm) to the Atlantic Coast route.
ACA has all the maps (for a price) and they are very logistically informative. They'd get you close. The Northern teir would probably be the most direct. |
Thanks Gus Riley this is what I have been looking for many thanks I will order them soon.

Glad I could help...have a great trip! I'll most likely be on the TransAm (east to west) hopefully this summer, but more than likely in 2012.
