super c bar bag hitting cross levers

I'm sure this is a common problem but I'm wondering what all my options are. I just picked up a LHT and had them install cross levers before my fitting. I use a super c bar bag that attaches via klickfix. The levers are in the way so I can't mount the mount. I've seen a friend actually install a 2nd stem to fix this but are there other ways? I need the adaptor to fit but I wouldn't mind if the bag was also lowered in the process.

You can also get an extended Klickfix mount that positions the bag further away from the bars.

Is there anything that comes of the spacers under the stem? Currently, I'd have to relocate my cross levers to do that. The only adaptor I saw that does that kind of thing is only for quill stems I think.

No, the extender he referred to plugs right into the end of the existing KlickFix, to put it out another few CM. It costs about $10.00.

If you also want it lowered, fit a second threadless stem beneath the primary one,
then fit the bar bag mount on a 1" tube clamped in it.

Damn that's a good idea. Wonder if someone makes one in stainless/silver?

How committed are you to the cross levers?

I've ridden thousands of miles on touring and sporty bikes without cross levers. I ride on the hoods, on the tops, and in the drops. I've never once felt like I couldn't get to the normal brake levers in time.

Fairly committed hehe. I was planning this bike for a long time and cross levers were one of the first things I added to the list. I should note that I could move the levers over. It would be a PITA b/c it would require moving cable routings a little and permanently removing a little bar tape but it could be done. I'm just trying to figure out all my options before I start cutting into my brand new bike

nope on the silver, but you can make one with an old handlebar and a silver stem.

It would be a clunkier, and more expensive solution though. Black wont look bad...

My cyclocross levers are aimed almost straight down. I included a photo of my handlebar bag in post number 11 at this link:
