Hey guys, just wondering what was your longest tour?
Mine was 1600 miles from Amsterdam to Barcelona.

So far ...

5000 km over 3 months in Australia in 2004.

We flew into Sydney, cycled to Melbourne, rode the Great Southern Randonnee 1200K randonneuring event, flew into Launceston, cycled around Tasmania for 3 weeks, flew out of Hobart and into Cairns, cycled a little further north than Cape Tribulation, turned around and cycled down to Brisbane, via the Atherton Tablelands, and then caught a bus from Brisbane to Sydney.

4200 miles 58 days. NY to LA.

5000 miles - plus or minus - San Francisco - Santa Fe - Alaska.

7500km over 4 months in middle Europe

10,915 miles in about 10 months in 2001-2002. Went around the perimeter of Australia, starting in Brisbane, and finished it off with 3 weeks in Fiji.

The Trans America (Oregon to Yorktown Virginia) 4244 miles (6830 km) in 73 days.

Across Canada: 7500 km in three months.

Five miles in a month and a half, but there was a headwind.

17,300 miles in nearly three years. 15 countries from Alaska to Argentina. With kids.

Around 6500 miles over 3 months Vancouver to Smithers, BC, to San Diego, to New York.

I was feeling good about 700 miles until I read this. Geesh, people think I'm nuts!

700 miles is less than a 1200K (~750 miles) randonnee which is completed in less than 90 hours including all breaks. I've done 4 of them.

700 miles as a tour is not nuts at all.
